Case Study 14: Remote VPN

Problem:
The Patch Clothing Store, Sauble Beach, ON with outlets in Sauble Beach and Own sound needed remote access to Microsoft Retail Management.

 

Solution:
A permanent VPN connection was established between all three locations using Netscreen routers, and remote VPN clients were set up on notebooks.  This allowed access to the POS SQL database and solved the network access problem from remote locations.

 

The remote security and weather cameras in Sauble Beach and Owen Sound are now accessible for viewing in Toronto.
